Making Salesforce work in Wealth Management takes more than an implementation. By designing the platform around the full client journey, data landscape and system architecture — and staying close to the Salesforce standard, customizing only where it pays off — we delivered a CLM platform that ran the full business from day one. Built to fit other jurisdictions from the start, the same foundation then scaled to further business units in a follow-up rollout.

The challenge

From outsourced core banking to an internal booking center

Moving from an outsourced core banking setup to an internal booking center meant building an entirely new CLM platform and migrating client data into a new internal data model, splitting custody and CLM. There was no proven Salesforce–Avaloq integration pattern to copy and little combined expertise in the market — yet the first business unit had to go live within 9 months, on a design that could later extend to further units and jurisdictions.

Our Approach

Standard-first design. End-to-end orchestration.

We took execution ownership as Product Owner and delivery lead, working as part of the client’s team. From business analysis and standard-aligned solution design — built to fit other jurisdictions from day one — through the data model and core banking integration, we kept business, integration and development moving in one direction, with continuous testing across Salesforce, MuleSoft and core banking.

Making Salesforce work: four building blocks

1. End-to-end thinking

Design Salesforce in the context of the full client journey, data landscape and system architecture.

2. Standard-first design

Stay close to the Salesforce standard and customize only where it creates real value.

4. Build for adoption

Enable users, drive adoption and realize business value from day one.

3. Hybrid delivery leadership

Bridge business and technology to accelerate delivery and reduce complexity.

The value

A foundation built to scale.

The first business unit went live in 9 months, running its full operations from day one on securely migrated client data. Because it was built for jurisdictional scalability, the same standard-aligned foundation rolled out to further business units in a follow-up project — the basis for a bank-wide, global CLM platform.
